Requirements :
A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) as recognised by SAQA in Financial Management/ Accounting/ Auditing/ Internal Auditing/ Cost Management or Cost Accounting. Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIA SA).
3 - 5 years of working experience in Financial Management/ Accounting/ Auditing/ Internal Auditing/ Cost Management or Cost Accounting. At least 2 years working experience in local government or Provincial Treasuries in a similar role. Value. Duties :
Provision of required inputs to departmental, branch or chief directorate reports or processes. (BMT, ESMT, EMT, GPTMFMA Coordinators and NT MFMA Joint or PTs Forum meetings, CoGTA, OPCA PCC, etc. Provide inputs into the development and review of Internal Audit and Audit Committee framework.
Analyse the substantive effects of internal audit on business and advice on remedial action for implementation. Conduct of a needs analysis to roll out support to municipalities. Monitoring of related audit findings and the implementation of remedial action plans and prepare report. Assist the deputy director with financial management, including contributions to the unit budget management.
