Remuneration: The hourly rate of payment depends on the part-time lecturer's qualifications and experience. 2026 rates: Junior Lecturer (R292 per hour); Lecturer (R358 per hour); Senior Lecturer (R438 per hour); A- Prof /Prof. (R600 per hour) Job Description Bloemfontein Campus To develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programmes, and to execute appropriate research and community engagement projects Main tasks Teaching, Learning & Assessment Student Evaluation Research Administration Control & Organisation Community Service Subject field(s) Contract Administration Professional Business Management Industrial Health and Safety Management Price Analysis and Estimating Quantity Surveying Project Practice Quantity Surveying II Construction Technology Physical Building Science Site Establishment Health and Safety Practice Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene Construction Ergonomics Construction Economics Strategic Construction Management Modern Methods of Construction Property Valuation Practice Facility Management Commercial Construction Methods Nature of appointment: To be appointed on an hourly basis for specific semester and/or year subjects. The format of lectures is face-to-face on campus. Facilitation and assessment formats will be subjected to change on short notice. Lecturers will be expected to have their own laptop computer. Successful applicants will be required to lecture on the Bloemfontein CUT Campus and will be required to be available during the assigned subject's scheduled class hours. Minimum and Desired Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience An appropriate Postgraduate Diploma / Honours / Master's / Doctorate degree (depending on the level of presentation) in Quantity Surveying / Health and Safety Management / Construction Management. Previous lecturing experience will serve as a recommendation Experience with electronic education (Blackboard) is recommended
