Chief Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organisation's business objectives. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and overall financial position. Provide financial analysis and insights to support investment decisions, business planning, and strategic initiatives. Oversee investment appraisals, financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence for potential investments. Establish and maintain effective financial controls, procedures, and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements. Monitor financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate exposure and protect the organisation's assets. Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, regulators, and other key financial stakeholders. Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports and performance updates to Executive Management and the Board. Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team while promoting accountability and operational efficiency. Requirements A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. At least 8 - 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including significant experience in a senior financial leadership role. A recognised professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification. A master's degree or MBA will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, corporate finance, budgeting, taxation, and financial controls. Experience in investment management, financial services, or a related industry. Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, investment analysis, and strategic financial planning. Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
