Role Description
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to engage Civil and Environmental Engineering professionals in a full-time, high-impact project focused on training and advancing frontier AI systems. As a full-time AI Tutor – Civil and Environmental Engineering Specialist, you will collaborate with technical and research teams to provide expert annotations, feedback, and high-quality input that shape the next generation of intelligent technologies. You’ll refine data workflows, guide AI task development, and ensure engineering knowledge is represented with precision and integrity. Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Requirements

Use proprietary tools to label, evaluate, and provide expert feedback on AI-generated outputs related to civil and environmental engineering.

Benefits

Competitive full-time compensation: $45–$100 per hour, based on experience, education, and location.

Work Environment

Full-time role available in-person in Palo Alto, CA, or fully remote.

In-office positions require presence 5 days per week; remote professionals should demonstrate strong self-motivation and focus.

Standard hours: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM PST for the first two weeks, then adjusted to your local timezone.
