Extrusion Operator

Logan Medical and Surgical (Pty) Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies, is seeking a qualified extrusion machine operator. Experience in operating an extrusion machine or similar machinery would be an advantage. 

The company is based in Cornubia and the vacancy is available immediately.

Remuneration: Market related and based on experience

Duties and responsibilities:

-       Setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the extrusion machine;

-       Ensuring that safety standards and procedures are followed;

-       Completing daily checklists, job cards, logbooks and hand-overs;

-       Performing regular maintenance, quality and safety checks;

-       Taking instructions from supervisors and senior extrusion operators;

-       Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Qualifications, skills and experience:

-       Matric / Grade 12

-       1-2 years extrusion experience preferred;

-       Attention to detail and ability to learn;

-       Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential;

-       Good verbal and written communication
