About the Role

We are seeking an experienced financial analyst with proven US renewable energy experience to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a deep understanding of US energy markets, financial modeling, and tax credit structures. You will work closely with finance, project management, and M&A teams to provide strategic financial insights and support critical investment decisions.

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a case study to demonstrate their expertise in financial modeling and energy market analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth financial analysis for renewable energy projects, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and project profitability assessments.

Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions, business planning, and financial reporting.

Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks in the US solar and BESS sectors.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate project feasibility, prepare financial budgets, and ensure alignment with financial objectives.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making, investment evaluations, and risk assessments.

Stay updated on industry best practices, financial regulations, and emerging trends in US renewable energy markets.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in renewable energy finance, specifically in BESS and solar.

Proven experience working with US energy markets, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.

Expertise in tax credit transfers, partnership structures, and renewable project financing.

Proficiency in financial software and tools, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Solid understanding of energy markets, project economics, and regulatory frameworks in the US.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
