Financial Controller

Hyde Energy is seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting and compliance, ensuring strong financial governance, effective cost management and reliable financial insights to support business growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations and preparation of accurate financial statements. Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis. Monitor revenue, costs, margins and working capital to support profitability and sound financial decision-making. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Strengthen internal controls, financial risk management and governance processes. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Oversee tax planning, statutory remittances and financial compliance obligations. Provide management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions. Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency. Lead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification. Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including substantial experience in financial control or a senior finance role. Relevant industry experience in FMCG or Oil & Gas is required. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, cost management, cash flow monitoring and financial performance reporting. Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
