General Worker

Job Summary

Our client in the Retail sector is looking for a General Worker to join their team in JHB - Southern Suburbs on a Contractor basis. Reporting to Operation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of the retail store while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and checking deliveries.
• Load and offload stock safely.
• Move and transport stock within the store or warehouse.
• Pack and replenish products on shelves and displays.
• Ensure products are correctly labelled and displayed.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, stockroom, and work areas.
• Assist customers with basic queries and direct them to the appropriate staff member when required.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays.
• Remove damaged, expired, or incorrectly placed products as instructed.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties.
• Follow all company health, safety procedures.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have Grade12/Matric.
• Previous retail, warehouse, or general worker experience will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Good customer service attitude.
• Rate: R30.23 Per Hour
