HVAC Technician

Job Summary

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems in the hotel to ensure maximum guest comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

AC & HVAC Operations Carry out daily checks and routine preventive maintenance of all Split, Floor Standing, Package Units, Central AC, Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and Ventilation systemsRespond promptly to guest room AC complaints and ensure resolution within hotel SLA (15-30 mins)Diagnose faults - gas leakage, compressor failure, thermostat issues, electrical faults Perform gas refilling, filter cleaning, coil cleaning, belt replacement

• Refrigeration Maintain and repair hotel cold rooms, freezers, fridges, ice machines, and kitchen refrigeration equipment
• Preventive Maintenance Follow PPM schedule for all HVAC equipmentKeep log of servicing, repairs, gas consumption, and spare parts used Suggest energy-saving measures to reduce power consumption
• Guest & SafetyAlways be polite, well-groomed, and professional when entering guest rooms (knock, announce, use shoe cover) Adhere strictly to HSE, hotel safety procedures.
• GeneralWork with Electrical, Plumbing, and General Maintenance team Maintain HVAC tools and keep plant room clean and organized Be on call for emergencies, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays Report major faults and need for external contractors to Chief Engineer

Requirements & Qualifications

• OND / HND / Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field with 3-5 years proven experience as HVAC/AC Technician, 1+ year in a hotel is a major advantageDeep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, electrical controls
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams Basic knowledge of Building Management System (BMS) is an advantage

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving Good customer service attitude (guest-focused) Physically fit - able to work at heights, lift heavy units, work in plant rooms Honest, reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision Good communication and record-keeping

Working Conditions

• Shift rotation including night shift Required to work weekends and holidays Frequent movement across hotel premises.
