Responbsibilties


Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of field instruments and control devices.
Maintain sensors, transmitters, analyzers, gauges, and control valves.
Ensure all instruments function accurately and reliably.
Calibrate instruments such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, level sensors, pH meters, turbidity analyzers, chlorine analyzers, and conductivity meters.
Maintain calibration records and ensure instruments meet required accuracy standards.
Diagnose faults in instrumentation and control systems.
Repair or replace defective instruments, signal cables, and control components.
Support quick restoration of plant operations during breakdowns.
Assist in maintenance of PLC panels, SCADA systems, and control circuits.
Check input/output (I/O) signals and field wiring connections.
Work with engineers during system modifications and upgrades.
Install new field instruments, control panels, and signal wiring.
Ensure proper mounting, loop checking, and commissioning of instruments.
Follow drawings, loop diagrams, and technical specifications.
Maintain maintenance logs, calibration reports, and breakdown records.
Update instrument datasheets and records after maintenance activities.
Support preparation of preventive maintenance schedules.
Follow plant safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Use appropriate PPE while working in plant areas.
Ensure safe handling of tools, test equipment, and electrical connections.
Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
Work closely with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams.
Support plant shutdowns, audits, and inspections.
Assist in process optimization through proper instrument performance.


Qualifications



Diploma / Technical Certificate in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics or related fields.



Selection Criteria:


Expert knowledge of PLC / SCADA / DCS systems and skilled in calibration of flow, level, pressure & analyzers.
Should have proven ability in Loop checking & signal troubleshooting.
Should possess required knowledge in Preventive & breakdown maintenance.
Should possess required experience and Ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
Should have proven ability and Familiarity with control valves & transmitters.
Should have good basic understanding and awareness of industrial safety & permit systems.
