As the IT Technician you will responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining all company digital devices, including laptops, phones, printers, and tablets, ensuring accurate asset tracking and documentation. The position provides frontline IT support and training to our farm staff, addressing technical issues and promoting efficient use of digital tools. You will also monitor network and system security, troubleshooting connectivity, supporting IoT device integration, enforcing data protection policies, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Device Support & Asset Management


Set up, configure, and maintain company laptops, phones, printers, tablets, and other digital devices.
Ensure proper device tagging, inventory tracking, and documentation in the IT asset management system (e.g., ERPNext).
Perform routine troubleshooting, software updates, and preventive maintenance.
Coordinate device repairs, replacements, and warranty claims.
Support implementation of device usage policies and access controls across user levels.


User Support & Training


Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues across farm departments (onsite and remote).
Respond to user requests efficiently and document solutions for knowledge sharing.
Provide basic training to staff on digital tools, applications, and cybersecurity awareness.
Collaborate with the Technology team to roll out new systems and ensure user adoption.
Maintain a culture of excellent service, communication, and accountability.


Network & Systems Security


Monitor and maintain local networks, routers, access points, and cabling.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues across farm sites and coordinate with service providers when needed.
Support network configuration for IoT devices (feed systems, cameras, sensors, etc.).
Assist in implementing and enforcing data protection, password, and backup policies.
Report and help mitigate potential cybersecurity risks or incidents.


Skills and qualifications:


Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a multi-site or field-based environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows, Android, and common business applications.
Familiarity with basic networking concepts (LAN/Wi-Fi, routers, IP configuration).
Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working in field environments (farm sites, hatcheries, depots).
Experience with IT asset management systems (ERPNext, Odoo, or similar). Preferred
Knowledge of endpoint management tools (MDM, antivirus, remote desktop support). Preferred
