Key Accountabilities:
Draft, review, negotiate and manage contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
Provide legal advice on investment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring initiatives.
Conduct legal due diligence on prospective investments and business partnerships.
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
Support corporate governance processes, including board and committee matters.
Liaise with external counsel, regulators and other stakeholders on legal matters.
Maintain and update legal records, contracts and statutory registers.
Conduct legal research and provide timely legal opinions on emerging issues affecting thebusiness.
Support the Company Secretary function as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Law
Advocate of the High Court
Minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience
Experience working as an in-house counsel or in a busy law firm preferably in corporate law, commercial law, litigation and conveyancing.
