Machine Operator - Paper Bag Making Machine

Logan Medical and Surgical (Pty) Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies, is seeking a qualified machine operator with experience in operating paper bag making machines or similar machinery.

The company is based in Cornubia and the vacancy is available immediately.

Remuneration: Market related

Duties and responsibilities:

• Setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the paper bag making machine;
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, safety protocols and company SOP’s;
• Completing production orders at a high efficiency rate and with a high raw material yield;
• Performing regular quality checks on finished products;
• Attending to related administrative tasks (maintenance records, production records, job cards, QC logs, hazard/incident reports etc.);
• Training apprentices;
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Matric / Grade 12
• 3-5 years paper bag or similar machine operating experience is preferred;
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential;
• Good verbal and written communication
