Medical Technician - Processing

Job Description Perform technical, operational and administrative duties, which include product sample preparation, testing, and correlation of results. Preparation and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions; Product label control. Assists with training and staff competence. Co-ordinate processes with reference to inventory, equipment, communication, continuous improvement, queries, document control, and record keeping. Multiskilled within the Processing department Requirements Minimum Requirements Matric Medical Technician Certificate Registered with HPCSA in Blood Transfusion Computer literate The working hours are variable; shift work is required, with weekend work and call-outs. A combination of the following skills, knowledge, and attributes is required: Good interpersonal skills Have a friendly disposition and willingness to "go the extra mile." Accuracy in data collection Must be able to work as part of a team
