Orchard Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric (Grade 12) is a minimum requirement Agricultural Diploma, or studies towards completion of such a qualification, will be advantageous Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within the citrus industry Valid driver's Licence Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Fluent in Afrikaans and English; Sepedi will be advantageous PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Confident Proactive and able to take initiative Solutions-driven and practical Strong sense of urgency Adaptable and resilient Good communication skills Strong observation skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Planning and management of harvesting activities Management of contractors and labour Execution of agronomic activities, including pruning, manipulation, fertilisation, irrigation, and spraying programmes Monitoring control data and making timely adjustments where necessary Preparation and management of budgets Scheduling routine fleet maintenance Ensuring ongoing compliance with OHS requirements and relevant accreditation standards
