Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our guests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Greet and assist guests upon arrival, offering a warm welcome to our establishment
Handle luggage and belongings with care, ensuring proper storage and timely delivery to guest rooms
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options in Nairobi
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
Assist with special events or conferences by setting up equipment and materials
Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Prior experience in customer service, hospitality or a related field
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Strong communication abilities in both verbal and written English
Physical strength and stamina to lift and carry heavy luggage safely
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
High standard of personal presentation and grooming
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Knowledge of Nairobi and its surrounding areas, including popular attractions and transportation options
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties efficiently
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues
Detail-oriented approach to work with strong organizational skills
Adaptability to handle diverse guest needs and unexpected situations
Familiarity with local customs and culture is a plus
