Procurement Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement activities for oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, expertise in sourcing technical materials and equipment, vendor management, and the ability to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities Source materials, equipment, and services from local and international vendors. Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and process purchase orders. Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and vendor documentation. Manage supplier relationships, pricing discussions, and delivery schedules. Coordinate logistics, inspections, and material delivery to project sites. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and compliance documentation. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline (a B.Sc in Engineering is non-negotiable) 8 - 15 years of experience in procurement or project engineering within the oil and gas or heavy industry sector. Proven experience in RFQs, bid evaluations, technical procurement, and vendor management. Strong understanding of engineering specifications, API/ASME/ISO standards, and international sourcing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems. Excellent analytical, negotiation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
