Burden of Childcare Reduced and Addressed for Women in Jordan (BUCRA - meaning Tomorrow in Arabic) is a 5-year initiative (2024-2029) funded by Global Affairs Canada and designed to enhance the economic empowerment of women in Jordan. BUCRA takes a systems approach that engages and supports local stakeholders from government, training bodies, the private sector and communities to drive gender-transformative change that addresses the most pressing childcare issues preventing women from participating in the workforce in Jordan. BUCRA targets over 8,600 women in 7 regions. The approach of equipping key stakeholders to address systemic barriers will enable the impacts to be experienced by women throughout Jordan over the long term.
WUSC and VTC, in collaboration with a local non-governmental organization or a training company, will facilitate two workshops in 2 locations (Irbid and Madaba) to strengthen the capacity of VTC ECCD graduates and staff in designing and implementing community-led initiatives. The selected bidder will also support two initiatives led by ECCD graduates, focusing on social responsibility, women economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and inclusion of PWD

Provide ongoing mentoring and technical support to two selected initiatives led by ECCD graduates.
Support initiative leaders in planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting.
Ensure that each initiative incorporates elements of inclusion, sustainability, and social impact.
Monitor progress and document lessons learned and success stories.
Coordinate closely with VTC and WUSC project staff for planning and implementation.
Submit an inception report, progress updates, and a final completion report including outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations.
The assignment is expected to last till March, starting upon signing the agreement.
