Research & Development (R&D) Supervisor

Amel International Services Limited (Amel Susan Products) is seeking an experienced Research & Development (R&D) Supervisor to lead product innovation, formulation development, and product improvement within our food manufacturing business. Location: Lagos Mainland Department: Research & Development Reports To: Head of Supply Chain KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead new product development and existing product improvement. Develop and optimize formulations, processes, and production costs. Conduct laboratory trials, factory-scale trials, and shelf-life studies. Evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and packaging compatibility. Maintain technical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with QC, Production, Procurement, and other departments to support product commercialization. REQUIREMENTS B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing and R&D. Practical experience in product formulation, process optimization, and product trials. Experience with powdered food products and dry blending is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills. Note: R&D will operate as a stand-alone unit, independent of the QC Department.
