Minimum requirements

• Matric
• Completed or currently completing a BCom Accounting, BAcc, CTA, or equivalent qualification
• Studying towards or inending to register for a SAIPA or SAICA training contract
• Strong academic record
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions
• Assist with auditing assignments and related working papers
• Prepare and submit tax returns
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with VAT calculations and submissions
• Analyse financial information and reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
• Provide administrative support on client accounts and projects
