Security Officer

Job Summary We are urgently seeking for a Security Officer responsible for ensuring the security of the office premises, staff, visitors, and company property, while carrying out basic maintenance and reporting faults that require specializedattention. Responsibilities Conduct routine security patrols and protect company property, also to deter and detect any suspicious activity or security breaches. Managing entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees and visitors, ensuring compliance with security protocols. Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action to ensure safety and security. Document and report incidents accurately. Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping and investigation purposes. Conducting regular safety checks of facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist visitors and employees with inquiries, directions, and information while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor. Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures. Carry out basic maintenance, including changing faulty light bulbs and performing minor repairs Inspect office facilities and report electrical faults, damaged fittings, and other maintenance issues. Maintain tools and equipment and perform other related duties assigned by management. Requirements A minimum of an SSCE certificate. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Previous security or maintenance experience is an advantage. Basic knowledge of security procedures and maintenance practices. Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and respond quickly to emergencies. Must be honest and reliable. Honesty, punctuality, alertness, and good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Willing to stay in the accommodation provided by the company.
