- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.

- Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Work with Busines Units to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, functional requirements processes, and solutions.
- Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
Business Analysis for Pele Project Management Methodology Leadership:
- Apply expert business analysis techniques to evaluate and continuously refine Pele’s Project Management Methodology, ensuring it remains tailored to the unique demands of renewable energy projects and aligned with industry best practices (e.g., PMI, Agile).
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Pele’s existing project management processes, templates, tools, and guidelines, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement to improve usability and effectiveness.
- Analyze the effectiveness of the project lifecycle phases, recommending data-driven improvements to ensure a consistent and rigorous approach to project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure across all Pele projects.
- Provide expert business analysis input to ensure the methodology effectively addresses the complexities of renewable energy and community development projects.
Business Analysis for Governance & Oversight of Project Management Practices across Pele:
- Apply expert business analysis techniques to evaluate and continuously improve Pele’s project governance framework, ensuring consistent application of the PMO methodology and adherence to project management standards across all business units.
- Conduct detailed analysis of regular governance reviews and audits of project management practices across Pele’s project portfolio, identifying trends, root causes of issues, and areas for targeted improvement and enhanced compliance with established standards.
- Analyze key project performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management on project health and methodology effectiveness across Pele’s initiatives, informing strategic decision-making.
- Proactively identify and analyze deviations from the PMO methodology and governance framework, providing business analysis-backed recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
Business Analysis for Guidance, Mentorship, and Support for Pele Project Managers:
- Act as a business analysis subject matter expert and go-to resource for the PMO team, providing expert advice and guidance on the application of business analysis techniques to improve project management methodology and governance.
- Provide business analysis expertise to support the development and delivery of targeted training programs and workshops on project management best practices and the PMO methodology, ensuring training content is data-driven and aligned with identified needs.
- Support the fostering of a data-driven and continuous improvement culture within the PMO and among Pele project managers, promoting the use of business analysis for knowledge sharing, best practice exchange, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on Programme Office functions, methodology development, governance, and ideally within the renewable energy sector or related infrastructure industries.
- Proven track record of applying business analysis techniques to develop and improve project management methodologies and governance frameworks within organizations operating complex project portfolios.
- Deep understanding of the unique project management challenges and best practices, with the ability to apply business analysis to address these challenges.
- Experience in providing business analysis support and guidance to project teams and PMOs within a matrix organization.
- Expert Business Analysis Methodology & Governance Expertise: In-depth and current knowledge of leading business analysis methodologies, techniques, and best practices, with a strong understanding of Programme Office functions and governance frameworks.
- Business Analysis for Methodology Development & Implementation: Proven ability to apply business analysis to design, document, and improve practical and effective project management methodologies and standards specifically tailored for renewable energy projects.
- Business Analysis for Governance & Compliance Leadership: Strong understanding of project governance principles and practices and demonstrated ability to utilize business analysis to enhance governance frameworks and ensure consistent project management standards across a complex organization like Pele.
- Business Analysis for Training, Mentoring, & Facilitation: Exceptional business analysis, coaching, and mentoring skills to effectively guide and develop the PMO team and project managers in other business units, with the ability to contribute to delivering data-driven training relevant to renewable energy project management nuances.
- Group Facilitation: Ability to lead large groups to co-create key project deliverables such as Business Cases, Business Requirements Specifications, Functional Requirement Specifications, etc.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, operational business unit leaders, and project managers, leveraging business analysis findings to support recommendations.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking (Business Analysis for Portfolio Governance): Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to apply business analysis to assess methodology effectiveness, identify portfolio-level trends, and develop data-driven recommendations for governance improvements and strategic project portfolio management.
- Technical Acumen (Renewable Energy Business Analysis): Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, etc.), project development processes in the renewable sector, and the unique challenges and opportunities of the renewable energy market, with the ability to apply business analysis within this context.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in business analysis software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio), project management software (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications (Highly Preferred): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or equivalent certification, and certifications or extensive experience in Programme Management (PgMP), Portfolio Management (PfMP), or PMO/Governance related frameworks.
