REPORTING TO: MANAGER CORE BANKING SYSTEM SUPPORT.

Job Purpose:


To provide functional support, configuration, and maintenance of the Core Banking System (CBS) and its integrated applications, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and seamless business operations. The role is responsible for user support, system upgrades, change management, and coordination with vendors to maintain optimal system performance in line with the bank's service standards and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


Functional Support of the Core Banking system and interdependent interfaces.
Configuration, patches, update and upgrade management of the Core Banking system.
Assist with creation and management of user roles and profile.
Manage and support integration of the CBS with other interconnected applications.
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve user and system issues, identify root cause, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
Creation of new branches, products, modules, charges, features etc.
Ensure timely execution of Flexcube EOD, EOM and EOY process for a smooth running of the bank's business activities and preparation of unforeseen eventualities by conducting daily system backups.
Timely execution of mock runs of EOM and EOY process and share the reports with business for verification before the actual runs on production.
Ensure business reports and MIS needs are met.
Document any necessary procedure related to Core Banking application for reference.
Ensure all Changes are tested, documented and approved before moving to production.
Review updates and liaise with business users to conduct comprehensive User Acceptance Test (UATs) test in UAT then implement changes and/or enhancements in compliance with the Change Management Policy.
Facilitate functional training to end users across business functions.
Follow up with vendors on escalated issues and ensure resolved within stipulated time.
Adhere to the SLA's set on business requests and ticket resolution and closure on offshore support platform.
Ensure all system issues raised through Helpdesk, E-mail or calls are resolved within SLA.
Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) with application vendors.
Ensure adherence of all bank's prescribed processes, standard operating procedures and central bank requirements
Ensure all Incidences are reported, resolved and documented with mitigation measures within required timelines.
Ensure closure of all identified Audit and System Security issues.
Ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures


The Person:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or other relevant degree from a recognized University
3 years of relevant work/management experience in Flexcube core banking system
Excellent understanding and practice of Flexcube Core Banking System
Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and willingness to learn.
Fundamental knowledge in Oracle Database, AIX and Linux
Knowledge of the Flexcube modules domains, Retails and Corporate Banking areas
Working knowledge and experience of web-service/API, XML files, PL/SQL is added advantage
Experience with Oracle Development Workbench is a plus
