Requirements A Relevant Degree in Environmental Management, Town Planning or related field 5 - 8 years' relevant work experience, preferably experience in local authority Supervisory experience will be beneficial Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP Valid Driver's Licence Key Performance Areas Provide specialist guidance, advice, and support to District application and contravention case officers in the interpretation and implementation of relevant environmental legislation, policies, and procedures. Provide technical and administrative input into High Court and other legal proceedings relating to environmental compliance and enforcement matters. Coordinate the development, review, and implementation of policies, by-laws, procedures, standards, and associated documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the SAP-based application management system, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements. Manage contractor performance, contract administration, and payment processes in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, and contractual obligations. Lead the preparation, administration, and evaluation of term tenders, ensuring fair, transparent, and compliant procurement practices. Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration, consultation, and communication on environmental management and regulatory matters.
