Main Duties:
Attending to antenatal mothers, reviewing reports and conducting safe deliveries.
Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations
Carrying out ward rounds with Senior Consultants
Consulting on cases that the Senior House Officers may require guidance
Overseeing the running of the department
Assisting management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department
Advising and guiding management on procurement of equipment and supplies for the department
Coaching and mentoring of Senior House Officers
Supervising Senior House Officers and Elective Students
Ensuring that Hospital policies and administrative regulations are well-known and understood by staff
Liaising with HR & Talent Development to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
Conducting CPD activities to ensure high standards of competency and efficiency in the department at all times
Ensuring that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times
Making follow-up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients
Conducting surgeries; elective or emergencies.
Required Qualifications for the Position
Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery
Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MMED)
Registered with KMPDC
ECOG, EmONC, ALSO
