Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#/.NET, including APIs and background services. Build and optimize data access layers using SQL and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework Core). Develop and integrate cloud-based solutions using Azure services (compute, messaging, storage, identity). Modernize legacy systems through refactoring and modular design patterns. Deliver software through CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable and continuous deployment. Apply automated testing practices and support a test-driven development culture. Implement and maintain observability (logging, monitoring, alerting). Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation. Investigate and resolve escalated issues across business hours and support periods. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements. Support containerized deployments and Infrastructure as Code practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support and maintain front-end components (Angular) where required. Qualifications, Experience and Skills 5 - 7 years' experience delivering production-grade software systems. Strong C#/.NET backend development experience (Core/8/10, REST APIs, background services). Intermediate SQL skills and ORM experience (Entity Framework Core). Experience with Azure services, including containerized workloads (Docker, AKS, Azure Container Apps) and data/integration services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, messaging, storage, identity). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform). Practical experience with automated testing (unit, integration, component). Experience working with legacy systems and modernization approaches. Ability to understand and contribute to Angular-based front-end components. Certifications: AZ-900 (required), AZ-204 (preferred or in progress) Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and trade-offs. Experience or interest in regulated environments with an understanding of compliance and audit requirements. Proficiency in using AI-enabled productivity tools, such as Copilot, to improve efficiency, generate insight and support decision-making in a controlled, quality-driven manner. Applies critical thinking and sound judgement when interpreting outputs, remains accountable for the quality and accuracy of their work.
