Structural Draughtsperson

Job Description RPO Recruitment's client, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Structural Draughtsperson to join its team. The ideal candidate will have practical experience producing detailed engineering drawings for structural steelwork, reinforced concrete and civil infrastructure projects. This position is suited to someone with a solid engineering background who understands how structures and civil works are designed and constructed. The successful candidate must be able to interpret engineering requirements and produce accurate, construction-ready drawings, rather than simply operate CAD software. Requirements: Relevant qualification in draughting, structural draughting or a related engineering discipline. A sound engineering background and a practical understanding of structural and civil engineering works. Demonstrable experience in structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings. Experience with reinforced concrete detailing, including reinforcement layouts and rebar bending schedules. Exposure to civil engineering drawings and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in relevant design and draughting software, particularly Advance Steel, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information accurately. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams. Benefits: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
