The overall purpose of the systems and product Assistant is to support the current System & Product Manager with the current day to day loading of product and system management.

It requires a strong focus on the product and understanding of the Cullinan UDMS System.

Key Requirements:

Understanding the needs of the Entity, Industry and its customers.

Assisting the Product & Systems Manager with helpdesk queries and to ensure that they are actioned within turnaround time.

Ensure that accurate information is provided to the Consultants.

Ensure the accurate and timeous loading of contractual information into UDMS and website (or system they use)

Ensure that Helpdesk Queries are attended to timeously and is satisfactorily resolved.

Role Description:

To provide assistance to the line Manager

Strong communication skills and understanding of Systems

Assist with helpdesk queries and ensure that they are resolved within turnaround time

Anticipate user needs and act proactively with the Systems Manager

Use your own Initiative and provide recommendations and solutions                  

Maintain, improve and share technical knowledge and resources with the team

Effectively ease the pressure from Managers and Consultants

Use of analytical and logical reasoning in resolving queries

Assisting with projects for UDMS

Conforming to the operating procedures at all times

Establish and maintain respectful, positive, confident, and effective communication and relationships

Understanding of the Industry & it’s Products and bringing any discrepancies to the attention of management

Build and maintain strong working relationships with your colleagues

Proactively get involved and recommend improvements in processes

Proactively get involved to assist where needed in the team and company as a whole

Ongoing communication with your manager on the status of work and any challenges you may experience

Responsible for your own knowledge and growth through the various learning and development channels available

Grade 12 (essential)

Exposure to the Travel/Tourism Industry

A Good knowledge of travel products (Accommodation, Transport, Restaurants, Entrance Fees, Guides) within Southern and East Africa

Understanding on negotiating contracts pertaining to the above would be an advantage

Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)

Must be experienced on Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Understanding of social media, Facebook, Instagram & pushing notifications

Experience in UDMS Beneficial

Experience with FRESH CRM an advantage
