Catilas Resources Limited, on behalf of our client, is currently recruiting motivated applicants to work as a Tour Consultant. As a Tour Consultant, you will be responsible for advising and planning travel trips for clients in accordance with their needs, wants and capabilities

Responsibilities:

  • Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, review etc.
  • Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services.
  • Organise travels from beginning to end, through accommodation, and securing rental transportation etc.
  • Supply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs etc.)
  • Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns.
  • Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
  • Create and update electronic records of clients.
  • Curate travel experiences that would stand out and make it sellable.
  • Identify customer taste to infuse these in the package being created.
  • Coordinates transportation, accommodation, insurance, tours, and activities for clients.
  • Advise clients regarding destinations, cultures, climates and activities on their packages.
  • Be able to provide services information and questions with accuracy and efficiency on destinations.
  • Maintain relationships with key persons.
  • Reach the revenue and profit targets
  • Prepare all fee quotes and any information required by clients, colleagues or authorities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all clients and colleagues.
  • Have vast knowledge of holiday destinations
  • Ability to train staff to enhance their understanding of the travel industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior work experience as a Tour Consultant/Ticketing & Reservation Officer.
  • Proficiency in English and any other languages is an advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of Amadeus and Galileo GDS.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels using diplomacy and tact
  • High analytical ability with a strong focus on identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Commitment to quality, productivity, and achieving goals with a detail-oriented approach
  • Proven sales skills with a customer-oriented mindset and ability to persuade effectively
  • Well-versed in various areas of travel, including domestic/international, business/holidays, and group/individual travel
  • Excellent ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively
  • Strong decision-making skills, negotiation abilities, and crisis-handling expertise
  • Effective planning, coordination, and ability to work in team-oriented environments
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in changing situations
  • Strong ability to generate new ideas and approaches
  • Skilled in managing projects from inception to completion with a structured approach
