Job Description
A vacancy currently exists for a Clerical (Admin) Environmental Monitor at the Cape Regional Office. This is a fixed term contract ending March 2027. The total remuneration package is a basic salary as per Expanded Public Works Programme rates of R406 per day.
Preference will be given to unemployed persons aged between 18-35 years, women & Persons Living with Disabilities.
Requirements
Matric/Grade 12/ NCV level 4 certificate.
Post-secondary school qualification in Human Resources, Office/Business Administration, Public Administration or relevant equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 1-2 years Human Resources and General Office Administration experience.
Language proficiency in English and one other local language
Computer Competency (MS Outlook, Word and Excel, Power Point, MS Teams and databases) this will be assessed.
Computer literacy levels will be tested.
Clear criminal record.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid Driver's License will serve as an added advantage.
Preference will be given to applicants of local communities.
Proof of residence (City of Cape Town Municipality).
Responsibilities
Oversee all the administration linked to the implementation of the BSP and other programmes.
Receive and check documentation for correctness and completeness.
Facilitate the Human Capital Management & financial administration.
Coordinate training & travel logistics.
Monitor and produce monthly reports on the progress of projects.
Maintain the database of all Monitors/Intern projects and their activities.
Ensure compliance of the BSP and SANParks MOU for this project.
Assist with the training needs and implementation for the programmes.
Be the link between the Monitors in the Cape Region, BSP Office & Head Office.
