The objective of the YP Programme is to develop young professionals in public policy research and offer them an opportunity to gain on-the-job experience, expand their knowledge and build professional networks. Young Professionals are placed for one year in the following Research Divisions with a requirement to focus their research in one of the areas covered by the respective Divisions including the following:


Macroeconomics Division
Modelling Division
Statistics Division
Predictive Analytics Division
Social Sector Division
Nutrition and Dietetics Sector Division
Governance Division
Gender and Special Group Division
Infrastructure and Economic Services Division
Trade and Foreign Policy Division
Private Sector Development Division
Productive Sector Division


Job Specification

Qualifications for admission to the Programme

For admission into the programme, the following are the minimum qualifications:


Master's Degree;
Be below 35 years of age;


Competencies


Have strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and be results-oriented;
Be computer literate including knowledge in at least a statistical package (R, STATA, SPSS, E-VIEWS, etc.);
Should have good interpersonal and communication skills;
Be fluent in English;
Be persons legally living in the country at the time of participating in the programme


In addition, Successful candidates will be required to obtain clearance from the following institutions:


Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
