Job Description


Identifies with the Technical Service approach with respects to service delivery, and defines, implements and monitors the short-term plans/objectives for the Fleet Maintenance functionality.
Manages the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel within the Section.
Manages and controls the operating expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
Contributes to the formulation of specific contracts and tender documents and controls contractual obligations.
Implements procedures, systems and controls to regulate specific work sequences and requirements associated with the functionality.
Directs and controls key deliverables associated with the Fleet Maintenance Mechanical Workshop.
Analyses and provides guidance on major mechanical, hydraulic and related technical applications associated with heavy Mechanical Plant repair and maintenance requirements.
Co-ordinates specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.


Essential Experience


6 Years relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years heavy plant mechanical maintenance exposure.
Computer Literacy.


Preferred Experience


8 Years relevant experience.


Essential Qualifications


Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification, e.g. qualification related to Automotive Mechanical Engineering.
Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B).


Preferred Qualifications


Relevant post graduate qualification.
