Key Responsibilities


As a Junior Bookkeeper, your primary focus will be on the accurate monitoring and recording of accounts. Your daily duties will include:
Transaction Recording: Accurately entering daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), into the company's accounting software
Account Monitoring & Reconciliation: Regularly monitoring bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledgers to identify discrepancies and performing routine reconciliations
Invoice Processing: Generating, distributing, and tracking client invoices, as well as verifying and processing vendor bills for payment.
Financial Documentation: Organizing and maintaining physical and digital copies of receipts, invoices, and other essential financial documents to ensure compliance and audit readiness
Reporting Support: Assisting senior accountants in preparing basic financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.


Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:


Education: An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will be considered
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related administrative role
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (such as Odoo, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage ) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office 365 suite
Accounting Knowledge: A solid, basic understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is essential.
