Account Officer at at a Pharmaceutical Company - Account Officer

A reputable Pharmaceutical company based in Lagos with many years of operation, requires the services of an experienced ACCOUNT CLERK in the factory and an ACCOUNT OFFICER for one of its subsidiaries.


Postings of transaction into general ledger
Provide accounting and clerical support to the account department
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Preparation of bank deposits and lodgments of payments into the bank
Disbursement of petty cash
Withdrawal of cash from the bank
Preparation of Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Financial Statement of Accounts
Preparation of relevant financial report i.e sales lodgment & interbank reconciliation report
Preparation of Account and income statement, Trade debtors & creditors report, Bank and cash balances, hospital billing etc
Preparation of payroll and ensure all relevant deduction and remittances are made within stipulated time
Tax and inventory reporting.
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.


REQUIREMENTS


Working experience as an Accountant/Account Officer preferable in a hospital system
First Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or any related fields with 2 years cognate experience as an Account officer
Thorough knowledge of Nigeria Financial laws and regulations
Experience using Accounting software (Tally, Peachtree, Herbst, Sage etc)
Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills


Applicants must resides in Lagos; residence around Amuwo Odofin, Mile2, Festac, Coker, Apapa, Satelite town etc will be an added advantage
