Job Summary


The Account Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's financial operations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare and maintain financial records and accounting documents.
Process payments, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
Assist during internal and external audits.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
3 - 4 years of accounting experience.
Professional certification is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
High attention to detail and analytical skills.
