Role Summary
EEDC is seeking a proactive and result-driven Account Officer to join its Power House team.
The role will support the management of financial transactions, preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting activities across all business units and districts.
Key Responsibilties
Process incoming invoices, send out customer bills, track payments and handle vendor disbursements.
Record daily financial transactions, expenses and payments accurately in the General Ledger.
Reconcile Bank Accounts Statements to resolve any discrepancies.
Attend to any assignment given to him/her from time to time by his/her supervisor.
Assist the Head of Accounts in preparing Financial Statements, budgets and other Financial Reports.
Qualifications and Experince
A Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Banking/Finance, Economics or any related field.
NYSC certificate (discharge/exemption/exclusion), and ICAN or ACA
Must not have less than three (3) years' Experience (Post NYSC)
Age required: 25 to 39 years.
Required Competencies:
Strong numerical and analytical skills
High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software
Good problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision.
