CAB Foods (PTY) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the smooth operation of the finance department and support organisational performance through strong financial systems and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coach finance team members, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
Oversee month-end procedures, financial statements, journals, provisions and reporting.
Manage bank accounts, cash books, reconciliations and cash flow planning.
Review and monitor debtors and creditors processes.
Ensure compliance with SARS submissions, VAT201, EMP201, CIPC and tax planning.
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register.
Prepare for and manage annual audits.
Drive innovation, process improvements and organizational efficiencies.
Oversee payroll administration, submissions, and payroll journals.
Maintain strong reporting and record-keeping systems.
Support HR, MBU and training functions.
Execute general finance duties, budgeting, reforecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
Uphold high standards of personal excellence, leadership and communication.
Requirements:
Strong accounting background with proven experience.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
