Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, managing budgets, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations. The role supports informed business decisions through accurate financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries (where applicable).
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor cash flow and financial performance.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field..
Proven experience in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
