Responsibilities


Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, journals, and supporting documentation
Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
Prepare periodic financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense analyses
Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
Process payroll and ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and benefits
Ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, and other regulatory remittances
Support internal and external audits by providing the required financial records and explanations
Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents (both physical and electronic)
Monitor financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards
Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions
Support management with financial insights and reports to aid decision-making


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
Proficiency in accounting softwares such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems
Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
