Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of Prime Life Transform Limited by ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of salaries and commissions, effective cash flow management, statutory compliance, inventory-related financial controls, and efficient customer payment administration. The role also provides financial insights to support strategic business decisions while ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:


Maintain accurate financial records and manage the company's accounting system (QuickBooks), ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, cash flow analyses, and provide financial insights to support management decisions.
Process staff salaries, generate payslips in collaboration with the HR Department, and accurately compute and pay consultants' commissions.
Generate invoices, receipts, payment schedules, manage client payment plans, and monitor outstanding payments.
Verify all sales transactions, customer payments, and supporting documentation before commission payments and product releases.
Process supplier payments, cheques, bank transfers, and statutory remittances (taxes, pensions, etc.), while maintaining effective relationships with financial institutions.
Work closely with the Managing Director/CEO to coordinate product procurement, supplier payments, inventory funding, shipping, clearing, and stock-related financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, statutory regulations, and internal control procedures while maintaining accurate financial records for audit purposes.
Safeguard company funds and assets by maintaining proper financial controls, documentation, and confidentiality.
Perform any other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned by Management.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
Membership of a relevant professional accounting body is desirable.


Experience:


Minimum of 2-3 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a sales-driven, retail, trading, or distribution organization.
Hands-on experience with payroll administration, financial reporting, budgeting, inventory accounting, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required.
