Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and supporting budget preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining financial integrity in a creative retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Process and record daily financial transactions accurately.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide regular financial reports to management and assist in strategic planning.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
Support forecasting activities and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
Compliance & Auditing:
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and company policies.
Liaise with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation during audits.
General Administrative Support:
Collaborate with team members across departments to support financial planning and operations.
Manage invoicing, payments, and expense claims efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferably a First class or Second Class upper graduate
Minimum 3 years proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within a Premium retail or Finance industry environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and/or Google Workspace Suite.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and tax laws.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Good communication skills to explain complex financial data in clear terms.
Compensation:
Salary Range: 250,000 to 350,000.
