Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights that support business growth across our hotel operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Monitor cash flow and ensure effective financial control measures.
Conduct inventory audits and reconcile inventory records with operational departments.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Support budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory filings.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Assist management in making informed financial decisions through timely reporting and analysis.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
Location Preference
Preferably within close proximity to Independence Layout, Enugu for easy commuting.
Salary: 100k plus 15k transport allowance
