Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to manage the company's financial records, ensure statutory compliance, monitor transactions, and provide accurate financial reports to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to management
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
Prepare and file statutory remittances (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.)
Ensure compliance with relevant tax authorities and regulations
Liaise with tax consultants when necessary.
Payroll Administration:
Process staff salaries accurately and timely
Ensure proper deductions and remittances
Maintain payroll records and documentation.
Expense & Asset Management:
Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation
Manage petty cash and expense approvals
Maintain financial records of company assets.
Internal Control & Audit Support:
Implement and monitor internal financial controls
Prepare documents for audit purposes
Ensure transparency and accountability in financial processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 1 - 2 years accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
