Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management decision-making through reliable financial data.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Record and review daily financial transactions using accounting software
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory regulations
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports
Manage payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Support internal and external audits
Monitor cash flow and implement cost control measures.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience using QuickBooks and other accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Must reside in Abuja.
