Job Summary


We are We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Accountant to support our finance operations within the FMCG and poultry industry.
The role will primarily focus on posting journal vouchers related to General & Administrative (G&A) expenses, reconciling trial balance accounts, and managing the monthly closing of local travel expenses.
A strong command of Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of the financial flows and operational dynamics within the FMCG and poultry sectors are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities
Journal Voucher (JV) Posting:


Prepare, review, and post accurate and timely journal entries relating to G&A overheads (utilities, administrative costs, office expenses, etc.).
Ensure proper cost center, project, and departmental allocations in line with FMCG and poultry operations.
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails in accordance with company policies and internal controls.


Trial Balance Reconciliation:


Perform periodic reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sub-ledgers and the trial balance.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities in coordination with the Finance team.


Local Travel Expense Management:


Review, verify, and process travel expense claims from field staff, production managers, and sales teams.
Ensure compliance with company travel and expense policies and accurate expense coding.
Coordinate with HR and operational teams to validate travel allowances and settlements.
Post travel-related accounting entries and perform monthly closure of travel expense accounts.


Compliance & Audit Support:


Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies, internal controls, and applicable local regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.


Requirements
Educational Qualification:


Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.


Experience & Skills:


Must have 2 - 4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the FMCG, agriculture, or poultry industry.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
Good understanding of cost allocations, travel expense policies, and reconciliation processes.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
