The accountant is responsible for executing day to day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial management functions of the organization.


Qualifications


Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field required.
Professional accounting qualification (cpa-k, acca, or equivalent) in progress or completed; at least cpa part ii.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ifrs, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and erp systems (experience with navision, microsoft dynamics, or similar preferred).
Understanding of tax regulations including vat, withholding tax, and corporate tax.


Experience


Minimum of 3 years accounting experience in a busy environment, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
Experience in bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
Salary: kshs. 100,000-110,000 plus company benefits


Main responsibilities


Process daily financial transactions and maintain accurate record.
Manage accounts payable processes and vendor payments.
Handle accounts receivable and premium collection activities.
Perform bank reconciliations and cash management.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile premium and commission accounts.
Process payroll and employee expense
