About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the organization's financial reporting and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
Prepare and review invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Track expenses and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
Support payroll processing and statutory payments where required.
Monitor budgets and identify financial discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Liaise with vendors, clients, banks, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Must reside in Oshodi or its environs and be able to commute conveniently to the workplace.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Good understanding of bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial documentation.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Professional accounting certification or part-qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.
