Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting


Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and reconciled.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with accounting standards.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
Support both internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.


Tax Management


Prepare and file statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Tax.
Ensure full compliance with national tax laws and timely remittance of all tax obligations.
Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors on tax matters, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
Provide advice on tax planning and identify opportunities for cost-saving through efficient tax management.


Customs & Import/Export Accounting


Manage customs documentation for imported raw materials and exported goods.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and coordinate with clearing agents and logistics teams.
Reconcile import duty payments, exemptions, and other customs-related costs.
Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions for audit and regulatory purposes.


Cost Control & Manufacturing Accounts


Monitor production costs and perform cost variance analysis.
Support inventory valuation and ensure accurate costing of raw materials and finished goods.
Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and proper expense allocation.


Compliance & Controls


Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
Identify and recommend improvements in financial processes for efficiency and compliance.


Qualifications & Experience:


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (K) / ACCA / equivalent professional certification required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of tax laws, customs regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High integrity and attention to detail.
