The Finance Personnel is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to support sustainable growth. This role plays a key part in advising senior management, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring the organisation's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accuracy
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple clients
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Maintain general ledger integrity and perform regular reconciliations
Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
Client Account Management
Manage a portfolio of clients across different sectors
Act as the primary contact for finance-related queries
Provide tailored financial insights and recommendations
Maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction
Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws and standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP, FIRS)
Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax filings, and statutory accounts
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist clients with budgeting and financial planning
Monitor performance against budgets
Provide variance analysis and actionable insights
Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
Monitor client cash flow, receivables, and payables
Ensure timely invoicing and collections
Track outstanding balances and follow up where necessary
Process Improvement & Efficiency
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes
Implement automation tools where applicable
Improve turnaround time for financial deliverables
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with other accountants, auditors, and business teams
Provide internal reports to management on portfolio performance
Support audits and internal reviews
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree desirable).
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAN or ACA (or working towards it).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial management, in an accounting firm or multi-client environment
Proven experience with budgeting, auditing, and financial systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft).
Strong understanding of UK and Nigeria accounting standards and company financial governance.
Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
