Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with administrative and operational experience to join our team for a 6-month maternity cover. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between office management and financial reporting, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Support & Accounting
Manage petty cash disbursements and maintain accurate digital logs.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and basic financial statements.
Assist with monthly payroll processing and statutory remittance (PAYE, Pension, etc.).
Perform bank reconciliations and track accounts payable/receivable.
Office Administration
Oversee daily office operations, including facility maintenance and vendor management.
Procure office supplies and manage inventory to prevent stockouts.
Manage executive calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel logistics if required.
Maintain a robust physical and digital filing system.
Operational Coordination
Liaise with external vendors to ensure service standards are met.
Support the implementation of internal operational policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal inquiries and visitor management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 3 - 4 years of experience in an Administrative or Operations role with direct exposure to bookkeeping/accounting.
Education: BSc/HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is highly preferred.
